Carly and Paul's Wedding at Southdowns Manor, Trotten, West Sussex - 30th December 2015
On Wednesday 30th December I photographed my second military wedding and it was a total surprise as when I met Paul and Carly and we discussed their wedding day but there was not any mention of it being military. The moment discovered it was military when I said to Paul about photographing his sons very cool James Bond style suit and him getting his out for me to find out he is in the Navy, safe to say I was excited. I have always had great respect for our armed forces and used to want to join the armed forces but due to medical reasons I was unable to.
When I showed up I saw Paul as I pulled up as he arrived at the same time as me, Carly was relaxing in the honeymoon suite and her sister was having her hair & make-up done with Carly being next. Both the bride and groom were so relaxed and not nervous at all. First thing I did was photograph Carly's dress and accessories and then I photographed Paul and Stanley’s suits. After I had photographed these bits it was time for Paul to get ready so photographed some of his groom prep and him putting on his suit this is the second time I had ever photographed groom prep and then it was back to photograph Carly's bridal prep. The ceremony was lovely filled with lots of smiles and happy faces which is always so lovely and really makes it special to capture. A very special touch to their wedding day was Paul's son being the best man and ring bearer, this was a very important job to have on the day and he was dressed in style for it in his very cool suit I have previously mentioned.
After their ceremony we did their bride and groom shots and some of the group shots, it was raining outside most the the day so we weren't able to do many photographs outside but Paul and Carly really wanted one with the landscape so they were amazing and braved the cold and rain for a few lovely landscape photographs. I started as a landscape photographer so I love making the most of beautiful scenery and landscape on a wedding day. I finished photographing their special day after the speeches and Paul's speech has got to of been one the best speeches ever, I love the One Direction song which he included in his speech.
Thank you so much to the both of you for hiring me for your special day and including me. You are both a lovely couple and wish you both a happy marriage and the food was very yummy too thank you :)
